The Mii Contest Channel is the perfect accompaniment to the Mii Channel. It is both a platform for your own creativity, as well as a means to add Miis from all over the world to the Mii Plaza in your Mii Channel.

The first time you use the Mii Contest Channel, you must register a Mii Artisan. Any Mii you submit to the Mii Contest Channel will be “signed” with your Mii Artisan, so that other users can see the Mii, nickname and country of the user who created that Mii.

Miis that have been posted by users around the world gather in the Posting Plaza. You can post your own Miis or, if you see a Mii you like, import it into your own Mii Channel. You can choose from Today’s Top Miis, the Top 50 most popular Miis of all time, or just look up a random selection of Miis you could soon be calling your own.

You can also enter your best Miis into Contests based on different themes and challenges, or judge the creations of others.

Once the results have been announced for a Contest, you might get a chance to take a themed souvenir photo with the Mii you submitted. Use the Wii Remote to position your submitted Mii and your Mii Artisan anywhere you like on the photo. Once taken, the photo can be posted to your Wii Message Board. You can make changes to the photo in the Photo Channel and send it to other Wii consoles.

From 31 January you can download the updated version of the Mii Contest Channel, which includes the following extra features:
The option of viewing all of the Miis created by a specific Mii Artisan just by clicking on his or her face on the Profile menu.
The ability to recall Miis you have previously posted and a list that reminds you of all the Miis you have submitted.
A feature that means even if you cancel out of judging a Contest, data about any Miis you voted for will be retained if you return to judge it later.

* This Channel can only be accessed when the Wii console is connected to the Internet.

* This Channel can be downloaded free of charge from the Wii Software section of the Wii Shop Channel.

* Each Wii console can only be represented by one Mii Artisan.
